Half day, full mountain access
The Half Day All Lifts ticket starts at 12:30 PM and runs through close at 4:00 PM. Same five lifts, same terrain — about 3.5 hours of skiing for a noticeably lower price than the full day.
When this is the right ticket
- Late starts. If you're driving in from Yosemite Valley or Wawona and won't make the 9 AM bell, half-day is often the better economic choice than paying full price for less than full time.
- Family days. Kids in lessons in the morning + parents skiing in the afternoon. The half-day pairs naturally with morning Badger Pups or Intro lessons.
- Cross-country in the morning + alpine in the afternoon. Common Yosemite winter combo — skate ski Glacier Point Road in the morning, switch to downhill at lunch.
Timing tip
The chair queues are typically shortest after 12:30 PM. By that time the morning rush has moved on or stopped for lunch, and the afternoon visitors are still arriving. Half-day skiers often get more skiing per minute than full-day skiers stuck in early-morning queues.
