Same gear, less time, lower price
The Half Day Ski & Snowboard Equipment Rental is the rental version of the half-day lift ticket — same equipment as the full-day rental, picked up after 12:30 PM and returned by 4 PM. Pairs perfectly with the Half Day Lift Ticket.
When this is the right rental
- Late starts. If you're driving in from Yosemite Valley or San Francisco and won't arrive until late morning, half-day rental makes economic sense.
- Family days. Kids in morning lessons + parents skiing in the afternoon = parents only need a half-day rental.
- Split-activity days. Cross-country in the morning (book separately at Nordic Center) and downhill in the afternoon.
- Trying skiing without committing the full day. Lowest possible rental cost; lowest possible lift ticket cost (half-day lower lifts) — minimum-viable ski day if you're not sure you'll love it.
