Why rent a locker
Locker rentals at the base lodge let you store gear, layers, and personal items securely during the day — and overnight if you're skiing Badger Pass multiple days in a row. If you're staying at Yosemite West, Wawona, or the Valley and don't want to haul ski gear back and forth each day, a locker is a few dollars well spent.
What fits
- Skis or a snowboard (vertical storage)
- Boots, poles, helmet
- Outer layers — jacket, snow pants, gloves
- Small personal items — phone, wallet, snacks
Multi-day trip planning
If you're skiing 3+ days at Badger Pass during your Yosemite trip, the locker math is straightforward:
- Cost: a few dollars per day
- Benefit: no daily gear-hauling, no boot-warming in the car, no wet jackets in your hotel room
- Practical: your gear is at the mountain when you are; you don't forget poles at the lodging
Pairs especially well with a stay at Yosemite West — the closest lodging to Badger Pass — where the time saved by not packing gear adds up across the trip.
